Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
As we sign off for the Christmas holidays, we have been reflecting on what a good year it has been for the programme.
We have had the continued support of 9 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Cheshire & Merseyside SCN and NHS England and have engaged with the National Maternity Review. We have met amazing and inspirational individuals, groups and voluntary organisations and members of the maternity workforce committed to improving maternity and neonatal services for women and their families and supporting them when things don’t go to plan.
Our launch in October was a huge success, we have given radio interviews, produced films, launched our website, twitter and Facebook accounts, been to number 10 and participated in local events. We have produced an interim business case and started to raise the profile of maternity experiences and outcomes as major factors in the health and wellbeing of women and their families and in providing the best possible start in life for their babies. But we couldn't have done any of this without the support, interest and dedication of all of those who have worked with us and been willing to share stories and offer their time and help.
There is so much more to be done and we look forward to building on the work we have started this year into 2016. We hope you will continue to be a part of the Improving Maternity Experiences Programme moving forward.
With our best wishes for Christmas and New Year…
The Improving Maternity Experiences Team
