Progress since our Launch Event
Following a successful launch event which was held two weeks ago, the Improving Maternity Experiences team has started planning in preparation for the first Women and Children’s Partnership Summit.
The Partnership follows the successful bid for the New Models of Care made by commissioners and providers in Cheshire and Merseyside. The Summit will take place in Liverpool later this month.
On Monday, the House of Commons debated on maternity units: bereavement care which ended with an adjournment in the hope of producing a tangible outcome.
Invitations have been made by the NHS National Maternity Review to families who experienced complications in pregnancy or lost their babies. The listening sessions will take place this November in Manchester on Friday 6th and London on Friday 20th. For more information on how to participate, please visit SANDS. There is also opportunity for families who cannot attend to contribute through the online survey which will closes on November 30th.
The Sefton MSLC Task Group was at the Maghull Shopping Centre to promote their work and hand out copies of the Maternity Audit on Tuesday 3rd November. The final leg of the road show will be held on Monday 23rd November at Bootle Strand Shopping Centre in the ‘strand by me shop’.
