Continuity of Carer
This Event has now passed
Event Description
In 2016, a national review of maternity services in England (National Maternity Review -Better Births, 2016) recommended that all Maternity services in England should become safer, more personalised, kinder, professional and more family friendly. The review called this model of care "continuity of carer" and recommended that women should receive it from a named midwife or small team of 4-6 midwives. It is expected that the ongoing transformation of maternity services in C&M to reflect the national recommendations, will ensure the care you receive is safe and based on a relationship of mutual trust and respect between yourself, your midwife, and your obstetrician.
We are delighted to welcome Continuity of Carer Leads across Cheshire & Merseyside to discuss what they do and how they do this more personalised care.
