1 day to IWD 24

#IWD24  International Women’s Day #InspireInclusion

Friday 08 March 2024

Improving Me is celebrating #IWD24 . This year’s overarching theme is Inspire Inclusion.

‘When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.

And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

Collectively, let's forge a more inclusive world for women.’

#IWD encompasses 6 Missions and Women’s Health is key to them all.

MISSION: Assist women to be in a position of power making informed decisions about their health.

That is why we are launching two important publications on 08 March which we believe will help make this happen. Making women’s health visible is an important first step. By supporting and promoting a right to health for women and girls we can expand their choices and opportunities to achieve good health and promote health creation not just disease management. We can put women rightfully in the driving seat. The dividends for women, the wider public and the healthcare system are huge; chiefly because equitable health systems are fairer for everyone, more cost-effective and efficient.

  1. The FIRST Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health Strategy and through a partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

  2. A workplace wellbeing resource for employers to put women’s reproductive health on everyone’s radar and through a partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

Working with women, our health systems and partners we are committed to closing the gender health gap, breaking down taboos and stigma, addressing disparities and improving all women’s experience. We believe healthy girls and healthy women help create healthy society.
