A week of activities for babies and women’s health launches at Liverpool Central Library

Monday saw the launch of Baby Week 2022, a collaboration between organisations across Cheshire and Merseyside to provide activities for babies, mothers and families with young children. Hosted by Liverpool Central Library, the event welcomed babies and toddlers to be entertained, while giving their parents and carers the opportunity to meet with the many organisations that are working to support women and local families.

The week is organised by the Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity (WHaM) programme and aims to raise awareness of important baby health and wellbeing issues. Running until Sunday 20 November, the week brings together local authority and NHS providers, charities and community organisations, and businesses who have all committed to supporting women’s health, maternity and early years development.

Catherine McClennan, Programme Director of WHaM, welcomed the success of the launch event saying, “This week is dedicated to giving children the best start in life, and ensuring that women from all backgrounds get support and access to services for their health and wellbeing. While this work continues all year round, Baby Week is a special opportunity to share the life-changing work being delivered locally.”

While Baby Week highlights important topics, it also offers dozens of fun and engaging sessions to keep little kids entertained. Everything is free, and more information can be found here
