Women's Health Event: Coming together to improve women's health

On 7 July WHaM welcomed colleagues from across Cheshire and Merseyside women's health and maternity to an event at Aintree Racecourse. The day was an opportunity to reflect and share experiences, as well as looking to the future and how we will continue to enhance local women's health.

Opening with a welcome from Rowan Prichard-Jones (Medical Director C&M ICB) and an overview of WHaM from Programme Director Catherine McClennan, attendees would hear from a range of experts from across the region throughout the day.

Importantly, the first presentations came from local women who shared their stories of when women's healthcare did not deliver for them or their relatives. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of providing the very best care for all the women we serve.

It was also an opportunity for networking and building stronger relationships as we work towards a collaborative, system model in the years ahead. Thanks goes to all of the presenters, attendees and sponsors, and to the WHaM colleagues who organised the day.
